sorting out a night out being drunken and my sister wanting to come too. (hooray i am getting out more)

Waking up in the middle of the night to find my boyfriend had completely wrapped himself around me and I felt all snuggled and loved (vom)

Playing with a toy car and dropping it and a woman about my age picking it up and giving it back saying "I think you dropped your toy" and suddenly realising I'm actually 5 years old at heart :D

Getting a singing teacher!

Finding out I can wear black trousers for the concert so I don't have to by a new long black skirt! Hoorah!

Being told that I'm beautiful, gorgeous, sexy etc.

pity it was all a part of getting dumped but I have never known getting dumped make me feel so good.

What also makes me smile is the fact that no matter what time of day i come on here there are always people on-line who:

1) i feel comfortable sharing my feelings with

2) i value the opinion of.

....that make me feel all round happy!! :D

Thanks for the hugs, never going to complain at getting hugs but I'm absolutely fine suprisingly.

I still keep smiling thinking about all the things he said even though I know it was all bull to let me down gently.

Pud, you don't need to be feeling down for people to hug you. Hugs are an all-season, all-weather, all-circumstance perk of life.

Which will certainly help my business when I start selling a device that lets you hug people over the Internet.

It made me cry too, but realising that even though I haven't stood up and said "for better for worse" in front of all my family and friends, it still stands, and I really mean it and that this really is forever, for better or for worse.

Still crying, but still stupidly happy.

Oh - and seeing an episode of friends I'd not seen before this morning.

Yesterday:

Watching my sister's face as her 5 year old daughter told me that she's getting a kitten, and that she's going to call it 'Loveheart'. I failed to suppress a snigger when i looked at my sister's expression.

My dad telling me I'm beautiful (but then, he always does that, and he's my dad, so it doesn't really count).

The wonderful Tigger coming round.

Mrs J making me tea of the green variety, but using nearly half a cupful of leaves instead of a teaspoonful!

Today:

Knowing that this afternoon I'm going to out of the office (albeit trying to stay awake during boring speakers)

Remembering Mrs J's tea-making faux-pas.

Bah! Wish I had of seen this before I wrote a 15 page essay in PN&I! In short:

- A nice doctor listening to me for a change,
- Finding out I've lost 2 and a half stone since I was last weighed at my doctors,
- Buying My Name Is Earl season 1 and Scrubs season 4 on DVD,
- A really rather cute bloke serving me and giving me a rather suspish £10 discount that I didn't think I was supposed to have,
- Finding out I can still have my tattoo on Wednesday.

Today is looking good, I now have an evening of being entertained by Jason Lee, Zach Braff and Dr Cox (I can't remember his real name).

Love and kisses to you all!
Awarded the title of 'Yank Spanker' by Mr Funge. Thanks, I think.

Oh, and now this has made me laugh lots!

Quote

OK. I was saving this up, but never mind.

Here's the song I sung to Simon Cowell when I auditioned for Pop Idol:

Britain's Deadliest (by David Simpson)

I got the moves,
I got the looks,
I got everything:
Everything you've been imagining.

The tender touch,
The secret smile,
I got everything:
Everything you've been dreaming.

So step back,
Take a look,
Pay attention:

'Cos you've been hunted,
You've been scouted,
By the Best:

I'm Britain's Deadliest!

He said I was a timewaster and a joke.

After I put some of my results into my thesis and wrote about them and talked up how great they are (even though they aren't really), I noticed that there was a whole other set of results I needed to generate. But I managed to write most of the relevant section, design and program the experiment, create the data I needed to test, run the experiment, and produce some good results ready for me to write about them tomorrow. All in about two hours.

All of that gives me a pretty good feeling that I'll be able to have the whole thing finished (save some tweaks after my absentee supervisor has a chance to comment) by the end of the week.

I'm not sure I took the time to smile as this all happened, but I'm smiling now.
