From the Inception soundtrack. Smashing score. Builds up to the finale from about 3:30, it's just awesome.

Bits of the new Manic Street Preachers album. Very obviously a Manics album, but at least they seem to be enjoying themselves again.

That's one of my angry songs. I love it.

I'm loving this version at the moment, but it does show up how immature Lea Michele ('s voice, amongst other things including her attitude) is compared to Idina Menzel.

Husker Du - Love is All Around

A cover of the Mary Tyler Moore theme; they were from the Twin Cities. A little disappointed that they don't throw berets into the air at the end...

(for some reason I can't post links properly when I'm at work)

and also, a recent find and possibly one of my all-time favourite rap songs by the brilliantly gifted lyricist Lupe Fiasco. If you like rap, check it out, the words in this keep astonishing me, particularly the third verse

It's a classic and I plan to play an acoustic one man version of it one day when I have the time/will.

After reading Stuart Maconie's 'Cider With Roadies', I am listening to a *lot* of The Triffids. Huge, expansive, heartbreakingly beautiful power-pop:

I am really liking Two Wounded Birds, lo-fi British summer surf-pop, described by Stuart Maconie (yes, him again) as 'The Sound of Young Margate:

Some stuff I'm loving right now:

Hunger by Frankie and the Heartstrings

Night Air by Jamie Woon (I've been listening to this non-stop for about 2 months)

Something Good Can Work by Two Door Cinema Club

Jolie Coquelin by Caravan Palace

Static Waves by Andrew Belle featuring Katie Herzog - beauuuuutiful song

and a whole bunch of electro-swing stuff

I honestly have such a need for happy, upbeat songs lately that I can put Train's Hey, Soul Sister on repeat and listen to it over and over while spinning and dancing like a cray-see person. It is the most joy in a tune I have experienced since The Proclaimer's I'm Gonna Be.

Yay. Joy. And twirling. :D

I do dance like no one is watching.
